These are the days you have to come back during the holidays :

1nov : 1pm to 3pm ( knots and lashing session )

2nov : 2pm to 5pm

9nov : 10am to 1pm

26nov : 10am to 2pm

10dec : HERITAGE TRAIL !!! ( time not confirmed yet )

21dec : 10am to 1pm

27dec : 10am to 1pm

28dec : 10am to 1pm

31dec : 10am to 2pm

session on 1NOV2007

there is a session next thursday 1st NOV 2007 on knots n lashing from
1 to 3 pm . sec 1s and 2s can come and learn how to tie the different knots and lashing for their proficiency badge ( knotter ).

Proficiency badges

1. Dental Health [due date: 2nd nov 2007]
-Do a scrapbook or poster on
`a model or chart of a tooth with whatever materials that can be used
`the various oral hygieneaids and their correct use
`the imptortance of good nutrition for good health
`6 foods which contain free sugar and how they affect dental health

2. Language( for the deaf) [due date: 2nd nov 2007]
-Write and tell the names of
`10 items used in the house
`10 things used in school or at work
`6 things used for sewing

3. Thrift [due date: 2nd nov 2007]
-Bring a letter from your parents stating that she is not wasteful in the home and is keeping her belongings in good condition
- List and write down 5 ways in which you can be thrift

4. Woodman [due date: 2nd nov 2007]
-Identify 6 different woods and give their uses

5. Knotter [tested on: 2nd nov 2007]
-Tie any 3 of the following knots neatly and correctly:
a.bowline
b.clove-hitch
c.donkey hitch
d.double overhand
e.fisherman's
f.man harness
g.packer's reef
h.roundturn and two half hitches
i.sheetbend
j.timber hitch
-Construct a tripod
-Demonstrate square, diagonal and snake lash, make a gadget using at least 2 of these

6. Hand craft [Done during camp]
-Make 3 useful of ornamental articles involving:
`wood
`clay
`plastic

(sec 1s and 2s are to bring the material which they need to the camp)
